Welcome to my website!

My name is Helma van der Boom. I have been working as an interpreter from Portuguese and French to Dutch and vice versa since August 2001. In April 2002 I founded my own interpreter and translation agency Helma van der Boom, Sworn Interpreter and Translator of Portuguese and French. I offer (certified and sworn) translation and interpreting services to district courts, civil-law notaries, lawyers, Raad voor de Kinderbescherming (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service), Bureau Jeugdzorg (Child Services), doctors, police, Marechaussee (Military Constabulary), VluchtelingenWerk Nederland (Dutch Refugee Council), psychologists, Immigratie- en Naturalisatiedienst (IND, Immigration and nationalisation office), colleagues from translation and interpreters’ agencies in the Netherlands and abroad, companies, individuals and perhaps ... also to you!

All assignments receive the necessary care and attention from me - however small or large. I aim to keep the price of my services as low as possible. For more information about the prices, please check the rates for each of the different services or contact me by phone or email for a customised quote.

Apart from taking care of your interpreting and translation requests, I can also take the minutes of your meetings, interviews etc. and I also do data entry work.
